What do we inspect?
Distribution boards, protective devices (MCBs/RCBOs/RCDs), cabling, earthing/bonding, documentation (schematics/circuit schedule) and alignment with actual use. We assess electrical safety (shock/fire) and functional performance.
When to (re)inspect?
- Commissioning or modification of an installation (NEN 1010)
- Periodic in-service inspection (NEN 3140) — typically every 1–5 years
- Change in use or load (e.g. EV charger, heat pump, PV)
- Handover/tenant change or insurer/OSH requirement
- After faults, thermal issues or consumer-unit upgrades

- Visual inspection (build, labelling, IP rating, penetrations, fire load)
- Measurements & tests (insulation, continuity, loop impedance, RCD test, etc.)
- Reporting with photos, readings and priorities (Pass/Fail)
- Remediation advice and quote (optional); re-inspection after fix

- Insulation resistance • PE continuity • Earth resistance
- Fault loop impedance / PSCC • Polarity • Phase sequence
- RCD/RCBO test (IΔn, trip time) • Voltage drop (where relevant)
- Functional tests of protections/emergency systems • SPD check and, if applied, AFDD

- PDF report with findings, photos and measurement records
- Defect list with priority (safety/continuity/regulatory)
- Concrete remediation plan • Re-inspection report after fixes
